1-Adana:
It is called the capital of the Turkish south also it is called the White City because of its fame of cotton. Among the most famous delicious dishes the hot kebab which is associated with its name “Adana kebab.” Of the most important monuments in Adana the giant castle “shokor uva” and Assisi the ancient Romanian city. From the qualities of its inhabitants’ generosity and hospitality.
2-Adiyaman:
Located in southeast of Turkey. Famous for its tea with its distinctive taste and that is because of the way that was cooked not because of the way it was planted. Of the most important tourist areas Nemrut Mountain, the caves of Gümüşkaya and Kahta Valley. Its inhabitants are the same of Adana’s inhabitants, they are known with their generosity.
3-Afyonkarahisar:
Located approximately 250 km from the capital, Ankara. Best of its dishes Sausage and Kaymak. Of the most famous industries is marble of all its kinds. And also it is where to plant trees that produce anesthetic material which is used in anesthesia the patients. Natural baths are the most important features.
4-Ağrı:
Located in the east of Turkey. One of the main landmarks is Ağrı Mountain which is towering height and the Gonboldo caves and the ottoman Ishak Pasha Palace.
5-Aksaray:
Located in central Turkey. It covers an area of 7,626 km2 . Summers in Aksaray are hot and dry on the plain, but the area is green and covered in flowers in springtime, when water streams off the mountainside.
6-Amasya:
Located in the north-east of Turkey. It is considered as the city of the Ottoman princes where most of them grew up. It is famous for its apples which taste good. Of its tourist landmarks Amasya Castle, the wooden houses and the house of healing, a second hospital, which was built during the reign of the Ottoman Empire.
7-Ankara:
The capital of Turkey. It is characterized by its huge castle, the Romanian bath and the natural areas in kızılcahamam area. In addition to that Ankara is famous for its good wool and it is called the city of goats and sheep and that is because it is the home to some of the animals that are used to produce high quality wool.
8-Antalya:
It is stretches in the Turkish south and overlooking on Mediterranean Sea. This city has a charm, beauty and leisure tourism, and the most important tourist landmarks are waterfalls, towering mountains, rivers, coasts and forests.
9-Ardahan:
Located in the far east of Turkey. Among the most famous dishes the cheese which is known with its high quality and good taste. This city is famous for its lake “çıldır”.
10-Artvin:
Located in the far northeast of the country. Smelt in every spot of it the smell of tea plants. And it passes into it Çoruh River, Sahara Valley and the Church of Brhal.
11-Aydın:
Located in the southwest of Turkey. It is considering as the beloved city of Roman. it is featuring in camels wrestling competitions which is held in the beginning of the spring. Their basic crops are fig and olive trees, where it exports to all parts of Turkey. Of the special features of the city ancient cities, the long Menderes River and major natural park.
12-Balıkesir:
Located after an hour and a half with a ship from the city of Istanbul, overlooking to the Marmara Sea. Also famous for the cultivation of olives such as Aydin City, which is the main source of olive oil in Turkey. This city has a charming overlooking to the Marmara Sea, waterfalls with fresh water and many of rivers that are distributed on its territory
13-Bartın:
Located in northern Turkey on the Black Sea. The town of Bartın contains a number of very old wooden houses in a style no longer extant in other places. It covers an area of 2,120 km2 .
14-Batman:
Located in southeast of Anatolia. This province is important because of its reserves and production of oil. It covers an area of 4,649 km2.
15-Bayburt:
Located in the Northeast Anatolia region of Turkey. It covers an area of 3,652 km2. Bayburt province is divided into 3 districts and The most important places in it are: Bayburt Tower, Saruhan Tower, and Aydıntepe underground city.
16–Bilecik:
Located in the Midwest of Turkey with an area of 4,307 km2 , Most of the city placed in Marmara Region but the eastern parts of Gölpazarı and Söğüt district and districts of İnhisar and Yenipazar remained in Black Sea Region>
17–Bingöl:
Located in the Eastern Anatolia of Turkey, the city covers an area of 8,125 km2. The main spoken languages are Turkish, Zazaki and Kurdish.
18-Bitlis:
Located in eastern Turkey, to the west of Lake Van. The area of this city is 6,707 km2. Salt made up the largest mineral industry in this province, so much that it was exported to surrounding provinces.
19-Bolu:
Located in the center of Turkey and it is considered the capital of the Turkish nature. Featuring seven lakes and covered mountains with bright white snow. It is noteworthy that the cookers in the Ottoman palace came from Bolu City.
20-Burdur:
Located in the southwest of Turkey, it has an area of 6,887 km2 . Burdur is located in the Lakes Region of Turkey and has many lakes of various sizes.
21-Bursa:
The first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Best of its famous dishes is delicious Alexander kebab. And it is one of the first tourist destinations for tourists due to its rivers, waterfalls and fascinating historic forests dating back to ancient civilizations.
22–Çanakkale:
Located in the northwestern part of Turkey. Çanakkale province has a European and an Asian part. It has an area of 9,737 km2 .
23– Çankırı:
Located very close to the capital Ankara. It has an area of 7,388 km2 . Çankırı is primarily agricultural with wheat, beans, corn and tomatoes the most common crops.
24– Çorum:
Located in the Black Sea Region of Turkey, with a total area of 12,820 km2 . It is situated in an important area, which combines the two geographical regions of Black Sea and Central Anatolia.
25– Denizli:
Located in the Western Anatolia of Turkey, on high ground above the Aegean coast. It covers an area of 11,868 km2. Approximately 28-30% of the land is plain, 25% is high plateau and tableland, and 47% is mountainous.
26– Diyarbakır:
Located in southeastern of Turkey. The city covers an area of 15,355 km2 . It has been home to many civilizations and the surrounding area including itself is home to many Mesolithic era stone carvings and artifacts.
27-Düzce:
Located in northwestern of Turkey. It is on the coastline of the Black Sea and it is traversed by the main highway between Istanbul and Ankara. There are ancient Greek ruins in this province. It covers an area of 3,641 km2.
28- Edirne:
Located in the East part of European Turkey, it is one of only three provinces located entirely within continental Europe. The city covers an area of 6,279 km2.
29– Elazığ:
Located in the Central East Anatolia of Turkey. The total area of the province is 8,455 km2. It is covered by reservoirs and natural lakes.
30- Erzincan:
Located in the eastern region of Anatolia, Turkey, with a total area of 11,974 km2
31- Erzurum:
Located in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey and it covers an area of 25,066 km2. The surface area of the province of Erzurum is the fourth biggest in Turkey. The majority of the province is elevated.
32– Eskişehir:
Located in northwestern of Turkey. Most of the province is laid down in Central Anatolia Region. Northern parts of Mihalıççık district and ones of Mihalgazi and Sarıcakaya are located in the Black Sea Region and one of them belong to the Aegean Region.
33– Gaziantep:
Located in south-central Turkey. An important trading center since ancient times. It covers an area of 7,194 km2.
34– Giresun:
Located on the Black Sea coast with a total area of 6,934 km2.
35– Gümüşhane:
Located in northern Turkey. It covers an area of 6,575 km² . The city has a rich mining (silver and bronze) history and was the source of exports for Trabzon.
36- Hakkâri:
Located in the south east corner of Turkey. The province covers an area of 7,121 km². It was a historical mountainous region lying to the south of Lake Van.
37- Hatay:
Located in the southernmost of Turkey. Almost all of it is located outside Anatolia, on the eastern coast of the Levantine Sea. It covers an area of 5,524 km2 .
38- Iğdır:
Located in eastern Turkey. It occupies an area of 3,587 km2 . The climate is the warmest in this part of Turkey, cotton can be grown in Iğdır.
39– Isparta:
Located in southwestern Turkey. It has an area of 8,993 km2 . It is well known for its apples, sour cherries, grapes, roses and rose products, and carpets.
40-Istanbul:
The capital of tourism and economy in Turkey. It is one of the most cities that receive tourists in Turkey. Where you find a rich cultural mix besides its huge historical implications. Turkish citizens come to it from all the cities, which provides for the visitor to identify the cultures of the rest of the Turkish cities without traveling to them.
41- İzmir:
Located in western Anatolia Turkey, situated along the Aegean coast. Its area is 11,973 km2 . The greater Izmir region produces 20% of Turkey’s wind power from wind turbines capable of generating more than 1,300 megawatts.
42- Kahramanmaraş:
Located in the Mediterranean region in Turkey. It covers an area of 14,327 km2 . Kahramanmaraş has historically been famous for its gold. The textile industry is relatively new and mostly machinated.
43- Karabük:
Located in northern central of Turkey. Karabük received its name from its geography, its name occurred from combine of Kara, black in English, and Bük, shrubbery in English. It covers an area of 4,109 km2.
44- Karaman:
Located in the south-central of Turkey. It has an area of 9,163 km2. Binbirkilise is a region in the antique Lycaonia, in modern Karaman Province of Turkey, known for its around fifty Byzantine church ruins.
45- Kars:
Located in the northeastern part of Turkey. It covers an area of 9,587 km2. Kars has a wealth of wildlife and it has recorded 323 of Turkey’s 468 bird species in the region.
46– Kastamonu:
Located in the Black Sea region to the north of Turkey. The province has an area of 13,108 km². The province is mostly covered with forests, thanks to the mild Black Sea climate.
47– Kayseri:
Located in the central Turkey. It covers an area of 16,917 km2 . The province is an area that has been linked with mythological stories as well as important figures in Turkish history.
48- Kilis:
Located in southern Turkey, on the border with Syria. It covers an area of 1,642 km2 . Almost 4% of Turkey’s grape production comes from Kilis. Other important agricultural products are olives, fruit, wheat, barley and tobacco.
49- Kırıkkale:
Located on the crossroads of major highways east of Ankara leading east to the Black Sea region. With its rapid population growth, it has become an industrial center.
50- Kırklareli:
Located in northwestern Turkey on the west coast of the Black Sea. It covers an area of 6,550 km2. The districts to the south and west of the city are more populated because the land is better suited for agriculture and industrial development. The north and eastern parts of the province are dominated by forests.
51- Kırşehir:
Located in central Turkey, forming part of the central Anatolian region. It stands on the North Anatolian Fault. It covers an area of 6,570 km2.
52- Kocaeli:
Located at the easternmost end of the Marmara Sea around the Gulf of İzmit. The province is called the industrial capital of Turkey. It covers an area of 3,626 km2 .
53-Konya:
Located in central Anatolia. The Kızören solar power plant in Konya will be able to produce 22.5 megawatts of electricity in an area of 430,000 square meters. By area it is the largest province of Turkey, where it covers an area of 38,257 km2 .
54- Kütahya:
Located in the Aegean region of Turkey. It is 11,875 km2 in size.
55- Malatya:
Located in the Central East Anatolia. It is part of a large mountainous area. The area of Malatya province is 12,313 km².
56- Manisa:
Located in western Turkey. Near the city of Manisa embraces a richly forested area, hot springs, the famous “crying rock” of Niobe, and a Hittite carving of the mother-goddess Cybele.
57- Mardin:
Located in Southeast Anatolia. It has a diverse population, composed of Kurdish, Arab and Assyrian people. It covers an area of 8,891 km2 .
58- Mersin:
Located in southern Turkey, on the Mediterranean coast between Antalya and Adana. It covers an area of 15,853 km2.
59- Muğla:
Located in the south-western corner of Turkey, on the Aegean Sea. Muğla’s coastline is the longest among the Provinces of Turkey and longer than many countries’ coastlines. It has an area of 13,338 km2 .
60- Muş:
Located in eastern Turkey. It is 8,196 km2 in area. Muş was known for producing wheat. The province also grew madder, but locals retained it, using it for dye. The area also had salt mines.
61- Nevşehir:
Located in central Turkey. It has an area of 5,467 km2 . Nevşehir includes the area called Cappadocia – a very popular tourist attraction in Turkey.
62- Niğde:
Located in the southern part of Central Anatolia, Turkey. It covers an area of 7,312 km2. The province is surrounded on three sides by ranges of the Taurus Mountains. To the west lies the plain of Emen, which opens up into the wide plain of Konya. The plain is covered with nutritious volcanic soil and Niğde is a successful agricultural region, particularly apples and potatoes.
63- Ordu:
Located on the Black Sea coast. Ordu is a strip of Black Sea coast and the hills behind, historically an agricultural and fishing area and in recent years, tourism has seen an increase, mainly visitors from Russia and Georgia.
64- Osmaniye:
Located in southern Turkey. It covers an area of 3,767 km2 . The province is situated in Çukurova, a geographical, economic and cultural region.
65- Rize:
Located in the northeast Turkey, on the eastern Black Sea coast. It covers an area of 3,920 km2 .
66- Sakarya:
Located on the coast of Black Sea. The climate is oceanic due to its close proximity to the Black Sea. The city of Sakarya, one of the most important cities in Turkey for its rapid growth and development, is also attention worthy for its natural beauties and cultural richness.
67- Samsun:
Located on the Black Sea coast. It covers an area of 9,579 km2 .
68- Şanlıurfa:
Located in southeastern Turkey. The province has a Kurdish majority, with a significant Arab minority. It covers an area of 18,584 km² .
69- Siirt:
Located in the southeast of Turkey. It has an area of 5,406 km². The majority of the province’s population is Kurdish.
70- Sinop:
Located along the Black Sea. The surface area is 5,862 km2 . The borders total 475 km and consists of 300 km of land and 175 km seaside borders.
71- Sivas:
Located at the eastern part of the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, in which the summer seasons are hot and dry, while winter seasons are cold and snowy.
72- Şırnak:
Located in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Şırnak Province has some mountainous regions in the west and the south, but the majority of the province consists of plateaus, resulting from the many rivers that cross it.
73- Tekirdağ:
Located in the East Thrace region of Turkey. one of only three provinces entirely within continental Europe. It has a total area of 6,218 km2 .
74- Tokat:
Located in northern Turkey. The surface area is 9,959 km2 . Tokat is the site of the important ancient Roman city of Comana of Pontus, it became a part of the Danismend Turkmen principality, and one of its principal cities.
75- Trabzon:
Located on the Black Sea coast. Its location is strategically important region. Trabzon is one of the oldest trade port cities in Anatolia. It covers an area of 6,685 km2 .
76- Tunceli:
Located in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. The province covers an area of 7,774 km2. It has the lowest population density of any province in Turkey.
77- Uşak:
Located in western Turkey. The province covers an area of 5,341 km2.
78- Van:
Located in eastern Turkey, between Lake Van and the Iranian border. It is 19,069 km2 in area. The majority of the province’s population is Kurdish, and has a sizable Azerbaijani minority.
79- Yalova:
Located in northwestern Turkey, on the eastern coast of the Sea of Marmara. It covers an area of 847 km2. from 1930 to 1995, it was made part of Istanbul Province; in 1995, the area was separated and made into the current Yalova Province.
80- Yozgat:
Located in central Turkey. Major industries are food processing, clothing, metal processing, bricks and ready-mixed concrete production. Yozgat’s economy is largely based on agriculture. Grains and legumes predominate, while sugar beet, sunflower, potato and onion-family crops are grown in irrigated agricultural areas.
81- Zonguldak:
Located along the western Black Sea coast region of Turkey. The province is 3.481 km2 in size. Since the discovery of coal in the province, Zonguldak has become a major coal production center.
